Last Friday First Grade visited the Warren Public Library. Students were engaged in a read aloud by Mrs. Cupo. They toured the Children's Library Room and learned where to find picture books, fiction, non-fiction, biographies, newly acquired books, and how to search for a book on the Bibliomation system. Interesting facts are that the book spines are labeled with a letter by author and some books have a sticker to identify various holidays. Students were able to sign up for their very own library card. First Grade will visit the library bi-weekly.

I love the graphics on this potential album cover! Yes, I am proud of this band and the typography for Elevin, as Elevin represents my son, Christian's band. The type is masked out on thick white plexiglass and illuminated with RGB lights. The light box in this image is sitting in front of the drum kit. The effect is perfect for an album cover. While many folks download music for their iPods or iPhones, there is still a culture that embraces the physical album, whether disc or vinyl. As a mom, I felt privileged to be part of the audience in Christian's music studio on his birthday. He is quite a talented individual; his passion is music. Thank you Christian for letting me sing California Stars with Patrick. |
